Letzte Woche Donnerstag entdecke Sherif Hashim eine Sicherheitslücke im aktuellen 3.1.3er Baseband. Zusammen mit dem DevTeam will Sherif diese Lücke für den Unlock des 4.0er Basebands “aufheben”.

Wie 9to5mac bzw. redmondpie.com berichtet, twitterte Sherif nun, das Apple seine Apple ID für den AppStore gesperrt hat und er nur noch die Meldung “Your Apple ID was banned for security reasons” erhält.

and guess what my apple ID was, “sherif_hashim@yahoo.com”, what a fool was me not to notice )), can’t help laughing, they are babies ))

Auch Sn0wbreez Entwickler iH8sn0w konnte ähnliches berichen:

Bleibt die Frage offen, ob Apple aktuell allg. gegen Jailbreak Nutzer vorgehen will oder nur gegen bekannte Hacker wie Sherif. Zusätzlich sollte man das passende Apple Support Dokument TS2446 beachten, das erläutert wie harmlos die Meldung doch eher ist.
